Liberty Elementary History Class Donations!

What a wonderful day!  The 5th grade History students at Liberty Elementary, lead by their teacher, Ms. Trish Masters made some wonderful donations toThe Butterfly  Ministry for Girlstoday.

This came as Ms. Masters history classes were studying about the Great Depression, represented by Kit - an American Girl doll.  She challenged her classes to bring their spare change to help purchase a Kit doll.

Just a few months ago,  Ms. Masters contacted our ministry and asked if we would speak to her classes about this ministry.

Safe Harbor - newest added facility

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Safe Harbor in Greenville and Anderson, SC.  This wonderful corporation assist women and children in abusive relationships.  Their goal is to provide an immediate, safe shelter and then assist the women to  re-establish themselves.

The Butterfly Ministry for Girls will provide the Butterflies doll to each little girl ages 2 - 12 years who enters these shelters.  Currently, they receive between 8 - 10 girls a month who would qualify.  This is just another avenue in which this ministry can help young girls in time of distress.

Fox 21 News Story to air in May

We are excited to say that Diana Watson with Fox 21News has chosen to do a story about The Butterfly Ministry for Girls.  She and her photographer joined us on Friday as we made new donations at one of the facilities we partner with.

Yesterday, we were pleased to have them join us at our home to interview me and Frank and film how we get ready for a donation.

The story will air on Fox 21 in May.  We will keep you posted about the date.  We are so pleased to have been able to share the incredible story of this ministry with them.  God is so good!

CONNIE MAXWELL CHILDREN'S HOME DONATIONS

Amazing  is all we can say with how God has so richly blessed this ministry.  We had a need for 12 dolls.  The Lord sent us dolls from Indiana, Pennsyvania, and right here in South Carolina.  There was enough for the 12 and for our other needs, as well.

Yesterday, we were able to bring smiles to 12 young ladies atConnie MaxwellChildren's Homein Greenwood, SC.  We have now partnered with them and will provide dolls on an on-going basis.  Words can not describe the emotions we experienced to see the young girls sitting in the floor and playing with their dolls when we left.

WOW! THE MINISTRY IS 1 YEAR OLD!

This is amazing!  It has been a year since we committed to giving one doll a year to Miracle Hill Children's Home.  With the wonderful help of people just like you, we have given 41 dolls to-date.  That is incredible!  God is so good.  He has given us such a fabulous journey over this last year.

We have been able to partner with 4 foster home shelters and 4 rescue missions.  We now provide dolls on an on-going basis to these facilities.  We have met many precious, little girls and they have truly blessed our lives.
